Fallon Ambulance Leads Effort in Crisis Incident Stress Management
BRAINTREE AND MILTON, MA, ISSUED APRIL 20, 2004…Fallon Ambulance Service, a three-generation, family-operated ambulance service with headquarters in Milton, recently hosted a conference for Boston area emergency workers on Crisis Incident Stress Management.Following 9-11, airline employees from Logan Airport required Group Crisis Intervention and today the escalation of violence and crisis in our society from schools to national terrorist threats requires preparation and education. To address this need in the community, Fallon Ambulance brought in a team of national experts to provide current training. Over 120 Boston area professionals working in the fields of crisis intervention, mental health, traumatic stress, emergency services and disaster mental health are registered to attended the workshops.
A team of professionals from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc. in Ellicott City, MD taught the courses. Topics included:
