Fallon Ambulance Provides CPR Instruction for Commercial Heat Treating Facility

Fallon Ambulance Service recently provided free cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) instruction for employees of the Quincy-based Industrial Heat Treating, Inc. facility, as part of the ambulance provider's ongoing community service program.

Lynne Davis is President of Industrial Heat Treating, Inc., which, in addition to its offices on Densmore Street in North Quincy, maintains a facility in Woburn. Davis learned of the Fallon Ambulance community service program that offers free CPR training to area businesses and took immediate advantage of it. "I come from a medical background, and understand the importance of knowing CPR in both the work and home environment," she said.

She said, "Our company had more than 30 participants in the program. It's great to be able to provide this as a benefit. Everyone should know how to provide this lifesaving service. Fallon Ambulance put on a great program for us ñ it was straightforward and helpful, and they were very accommodating to our needs."

Peter Racicot, Senior Vice President of Business Development, said, "We're pleased to be able to work with area businesses to provide this service. It's something we hope they'll never need to use, but it's critical to have the knowledge just in case."

Fallon Ambulance knows the importance of rapid response in the event of a heart attack. Last year, at the Ryder Cup Tournament, two Fallon paramedics helped save the life of a man who had suffered cardiac arrest.
